Day 1: Hello Busan ヾ(•ω•`)o

Gamcheon Culture Village - Seomyeon Food Alley - Bay 101

We finally arrived Gimhae International Airport at 8.30am after 7 hours and 15 minutes flight.

Busan Travel Itinerary || Essential item when travel in Korea - T-money card

The first thing we bought from the convenient store in airport were breakfast and transportation card. Transportation card is an essential for moving around in Korea with public transport eg. metro and bus.

There have few options available. We chose T-money card because it can be nationwide-use, so it would more convenient for us when crossing state.

My T-money card was with Brown from Line Friends series. Lovely~

Where We Stay : Canvas Hotel

After reload the T-card, we took Busan metro to the hotel we booked, Canvas Hotel first to unload our luggage. The hotel is located Haeundae area, which very near to Busan's landmark, Haeundae Beach. The hotel is super cozy. The room is clean, tidy and comfy. Equipped with mini lift, convenient for traveler to move their luggage.

First Station: Gamcheon Culture Village

Gamcheon Culture Village is a beautiful village that built in staircase-fashion on the hillside and overlooking the ocean. All the houses were decorated with colorful murals and sculptures. With its beautiful architectural layout, it is also famed as “Santorini of Korea” .

We bought some snacks from the roadside stall and strolled around the village. Further we walked into the alleyways, the better the panoramic view. In case you forgot to get the map from information center or lost direction in the crossing alleys, you may follow the painted fishes on the wall. The painted fishes swim through the whole village bringing you to the major popular sites. It was a great refreshing experience.

Handsome Choi Si Won shined even under the sunlight

And...the best of the best was, we met Super Junior’s Choi Si Won at here!!! Both of us were stunned for a moment then just realized we met the star! “Camera, camera, where is my camera, omg he walked like a thunder, I need to be fast before he left >< ” SiWon looked so good even in our shaky unclear photo. God~ This was already the best moment in my Korea trip. (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

We spent almost three hours strolling around. Recommended to prepare comfortable walking shoes ease for wandering through the steep alleyway.

Second Station: Seomyeon First Street

Bungeoppang

We boarded town bus Sahagu 1-1 at Gamcheon Elementary School bus stop to Chungmu Market and took subway to Seomyeon Station. Accidentally, we get off at Beomnaegol Station, so we had to walk about 16mins to Seomyeon First Street. But also thanks to the lovely mistakes, we able to try another Korean traditional snacks, Bungeoppang.

Bungeoppang is a fish-shaped korean waffle. We were attracted by the waffle smell when by-passing a bungeoppang stall. We bought a bag of it and finished on spot.

The crust was slight crispy with sweet red bean wrapped in the middle. Feeling nice to take some sweet warm food in the cold weather. (*^-^*)

Busan Travel Itinerary || Dinner at Seomyeon Food Alley
Dinner for two person

Seomyeon First Street (also known as Seomyeon Food Alley) has a number of cafes, bars and restaurants. It is great place for dinner. Not thinking much, we chose a korean restaurant which with more local customer.

The fried fish set we ordered came various side dishes eg. soft tofu stew, kimchi, fried tteokbokki, bean sprouts, perilla leaf and rice. The fried fish was so gooooood but the portion served was large. We was totally full.

Station 3: Bay 101

Before back to hotel, we spent some leisure moment at Bay 101. Get off at Dongbaek station and walked about 11min. It was on our right side!

Bay 101 is a marine leisure complex, providing people a space for culture and art, to feel the pleasure of the ocean. There are yacht club, dongbaek store, cafes, restaurants, pubs which serve good food & drinks and a cozy environment for people to enjoy the night.

From Bay 101, we found the most stunning nightscape of Haeundae, this beautiful marine city. Skyscrapers lighten up the night with the yachts parked along the dock. The cold sea breeze from East Sea, chill background music playing from cafe and the gorgeous night view of Haeundae area, everything around made the night so beautiful.
