  • By driving car with using Gyeongbu Expressway, estimated 2 hours 30 minutes and toll fee 11,300won.

  • Take KTX from Seoul Station to Jeonju Station, 1 hour 53 minutes and ticket 34,600won. Take bus no. 535/ 543/ 522/ 520/ 541/ 511/ 513/ 515/ 521 at 'Jeonju Station Cheonmajunggil' bus stop and get off at Girin Daero Military Manpower Administration. Walk about 450 meter to Jeonju Hanok Village.

  • Take SRT from Dongtan Station to Jeonju Station, 1 hour 29 minutes and ticket 25,400won. Take bus no. 535/ 543/ 522/ 520/ 541/ 511/ 513/ 515/ 521 at 'Jeonju Station Cheonmajunggil' bus stop and get off at Girin Daero Military Manpower Administration. Walk about 450 meter to Jeonju Hanok Village.

  • Take Express Bus from Central City Bus Terminal to Jeonju Bus Terminal, 2 hour 40 minutes and free bus ticket. Take Bus 350 at Kookmin Bank Geumam Branch bus stop and and get off at Girin Daero Military Manpower Administration. Walk about 450 meter to Jeonju Hanok Village.

Jeonju Hanok Village, known as the largest hanok (Korean traditional house) village in Korea.

It was created by people who gathered to live against the Japanese colonial that tried to destroy the Jeonju fortress and invade the residential area in the 1930s.

Until today, more than 800 hanoks are well retained here while the rest of the city has been industrialized.

The traditional architecture of hanok such as clay gate, tiled roof, plain white hanji (paper) window, wooden wall and wooden flooring with heating system, makes use of natural materials like wood, earth and stone, which can be easily found in surrounding.
