Seoul Itinerary
Day 7 : Happy Shopping Day 🛍️
Myeongdong - Common Ground - N Seoul Tower
Stop 1 : Myeongdong (Shopping, Tax Refund & Lunch)
It was a rainy day today, so bad that we had to postpone our original Everland plan to the next day.
As we are going to back to Malaysia on the day after tomorrow, so today would be our last day to get souvenir for our friends and family members.
Myeongdong definitely would be our first choice for shopping.
It was a shopping heaven. Literally we can find everything, from handmade item to high end goods at there, including Korean skincare, cosmetics, clothes, accessories and K-pop merchandise.
Most importantly, it was near to the guesthouse we stayed, which could easier for us to keep our purchased.
After shopping, we went to the related tax refund counter in Myeongdong Lotte Department Store for tax refund.
The steps are easy. Fill up the tax free form and bring along the requirement, including passport and receipt, to the listed refund office/kiosk. But do note that Korea have few tax companies, such as Global Blue and Global Tax Free. So the requirement or rules would slightly different by company, so do study the booklet provided first.
To prevent any rushing or long queue happen at the tax refund counter or custom in airport, we strongly recommend to do it at any of those downtown refund office/kiosk first if available.
The time was already over 2pm when we get all things done. Many of the restaurant were already in break after lunch peak hour.
We get ourselves a bibimbap with steamed mandu (dumpling) in a small family business restaurant, and the meal was so good. Korean bibimbap never disappoint us.
(❁´◡`❁)
Since it was still raining, so we back to our guesthouse to pack all our purchased into the luggage.
Stop 2 : Common Ground
Completed the mission impossible, we again stomped out from hotel. We went to Common Ground, which known as the most unique shopping center in Seoul.
We took Seoul subway from Hoehyeon Station to Konkuk Univ. Station. Taken the exit no.6, we can see the blue container from far. The shopping center is located 300 meters away straight from the exit of subway station.
Common Ground is more youth-centered shopping center. It houses a variety of restaurants, cafes and trendy shops from local designer.
What makes it stand out from traditional shopping centers is its unique architecture. The building blocks are made of shipping containers, which promoting sustainability through the reuse of materials. The urban and modern design also make it a favorite insta spot of youngster.
What we loved the most in Common Ground was to have our coffee and some sweet dessert on its rooftop terrace, enjoying the view of city skyline. So relaxing~
Stop 3: N Seoul Tower
After hanging around the shopping center for about one and half hour, we took subway from Konkuk University Station back to Myeongdong Station. Taken the exit no.4, station of Namsan cable car was located 10 minutes walk away.
Yes! We were going to give N Seoul Tower a second visit. Discovering the nighttime charm of the city we visited, always is one of our travel must do things.

And when the sun has dipped below the horizon, and Seoul's bustling streets are bathed in the soft glow of streetlights. It's the perfect time to head to N Seoul Tower.
At night, N Seoul Tower itself is illuminated, and the panoramic night views of Seoul are simply breathtaking. You can see the Han River glistening under the moonlight and the city's landmarks shining like stars. (☆▽☆)
From the convenient store in N Seoul Tower, we bought two cups of instant Korean ramen as our dinner. It isn't the grandest or special meal up there, but this is what we loved. Sitting on Seoul's highest plateau, overviewing the priceless nightscape of this bustling city and enjoying our warm delicious Korean noodles in this cold autumn night. Perfect ❤️
We back to our guesthouse around 10.30pm. Be aware that Namsan cable car is closed at 11pm, so do not missout the last trip if you are taking public transport.
This was all our activities on Day-12 in Korea.
See you next day, bye. (* ̄3 ̄)╭
